Description

Especially warming and protective

The peat silk yarn is carded in Ladakh (India) by Catherine & Angtak from Lukzi and hand-spun by indigenous women in Himachal Pradesh.

Peat silk warms and protects the organism through the millennia-old natural forces of the high moors. The peat fibers were refined and activated by treatment with mallow, horse chestnut extract, larch resin and antimony. Its effectiveness is supported by the light and enveloping Peace Silk.

The silk comes from organic silk farming and is processed without any animal having to suffer. The cocoons are reeled off only after the moths have hatched. The yarn is suitable for all textiles that should have a protective and warming function for the human organism (scarves, sweaters, hats, socks or blankets...). Products made from the yarn are particularly recommended for people who suffer from electrosmog and similar effects.
