Medium-weight shiny satin

Beautifully shiny fabric made of soft mulberry silk (in warp and weft) dyed with natural indigo. The indigo leaves (Indigofera tinctoria) produce an impressive deep blue on the satin.

Particularly suitable for festive clothing: dresses, blousses, shirts, vests, skirts... and bed clothing. The silk comes from an organic agriculture and non-violent production.

The short pieces of the fibers from the empty cocoons are traditionally spun and machine woven whereby the fabric gets its unique character. Please note that digital photos can only approximate the shade and brightness of the fabric.
