Description
Lively texture
Heavy hand-woven fabric made of tussah silk, lively in appearance and structure. Natural shades from beige to light brown in Ahimsa quality.
Ketya Silk is a fabric native to the Indian state of West Bengal. It has a unique and coarse tactile texture due to varieties of yarns like Matka, Khadi, Tussar being woven into the raw coarse fabric. This produces wonderfully rich texture.
Particularly suitable for clothing, furniture covers, curtains and other home textiles
The silk comes from organic agriculture and is produced non-violently (organic and non-violent silk). The short silk threads of the empty cocoons are traditionally spun and woven by hand, which gives the fabric its unmistakable character.
